During December 2021, the start-up of the expansion of the water treatment of the company CALES DE LLIERCA was completed. The installation goal is to remove suspended solids in a lamellar clarifier with a 70 % less footprint comparing with a conventional clarifier.

The facility designed by CORPI-GIA includes the steps of coagulation and flocculation in agitated tanks and later separation of the flocs in a lamellar settler.

The footprint of the lamellar settler for a treatment flow of 40 m3/h is only 12 m2.

The installation has a dosage control of chemical reagents based in the influent flow, in order to minimize the consumption of coagulant and flocculant.

The treated water has a suspended solid concentration lower than 5 mg/l.
