The new activity centre created by Ferran Adrià in Cala Montjoi has started its activity this summer. Wastewater generated in the centre are treated in a new facility designed and built by CORPI GIA based on a low environmental impact. The WWTP design has minimized the visual impact and the unwanted odours management.

All the tanks are buried in the soil and the equipment’s and control room are in a basement in the park area.

Odour control is achieved with a coal filter and a ventilation system.

A biological treatment is applied to remove the organic matter and an ultrafiltration system with hollow fibres is used to separate the biomass and the treated water. Final effluent has high quality that allows its discharge in a sensible environment with all the guarantees.
