The works awarded by the Consell Comarcal d’Osona to Corpi Gestió Integral de l’Aigua S.L. to completely renovate the Fussimanya WWTP have been completed. Currently, the wastewater is already being treated in the new facilities.

The project included the dismantling and removal of the old infrastructure, the installation of new equipment, and its commissioning.

The treatment plant processes wastewater through the following stages:

• Self-cleaning coarse screen with a 1 mm slot width.
• Biological reactor with a volume of 39 m³ with a grid of 25 diffusers connected to a rotary piston blower.
• Settler for the separation of biomass and clarified water, with recirculation pumps and decanted sludge purging of 3.5-7 m³/h.
• Surplus sludge accumulation tank with a capacity of 10 m³.

Additionally, the CORPI group has carried out the following tasks:

• Interconnecting pipes between all the tanks.
• New staircase and walkway to access the new equipment.
• Lighting.
• Modification of the inlet collector to the WWTP.
• Construction of 2 inspection manholes, one of them with 2 manual gates.
• Extension of the treated water outlet collector and the containment wall.
• Reinforcement of the support slab of the biological reactor and new slab for the settler and sludge tank.
• Installation of a new fence and metal gate.
• Paving works.
• New civil works staircase within the plot.
