CORPI OBRES I PROMOCIONS S.L. has obtained the highest score in the public tender promoted by the Consell Comarcal de Osona for the award of the construction of the Masia Perafita wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in the Can Garriga urbanization of the municipality of Seva (Barcelona).

The work included in the project consists of:

• Demolition and dismantling of the current wastewater treatment plant.
• Installation of an overflow at the entrance, with a manual coarse screen.
• Screening chamber with an automatic screen of 20 mm mesh size.
• Equalization tank with three chambers.
• RBC-type biological reactor.
• Installation of a lamellar settler for biomass separation.
• Outlet chamber with flow meter.
• Network for conducting treated water. Additionally, new wastewater collectors will be installed. The work will be carried out jointly between Corpi-Obres i Promocions SL and Corpi-Gestió Integral de l’Aigua, resulting in a turnkey project.

The chosen purification system of the rotating biological contactors (RBC) consists of aeration by the movement of the biodisc itself, which is partially submerged and in contact with the air, so that as it rotates, it aerates the mixture. The entire system is buried at a shallow depth to environmentally integrate the treatment plant into the rural environment.
